How it works
A ball falls through a peg board and lands in one of the slots at the bottom. Each bounce is an even coin flip, so the slot odds follow the binomial distribution — the middle is common, the edges are rare.
The thing players often overlook is how skewed the high-risk versions really are. A 16-row high-risk board offers the headline 1000× multiplier, but those slots sit at the extreme edges and come up once in roughly 32,000 drops.
